Each tray comes complete with a Blue Dot Wear Indicator, which provides and approximate gauge of wear. The dot gradually fades after a two week period if the aligners are worn as prescribed. The aligners need to be worn between 20 to 22 hours per day. They can be taken out when eating, during full contact sports, and when the teen brushes his or her teeth, but must be worn during other times.
